PERBANDINGAN METODE EULER DAN METODE RUNGE-KUTTA ORDE 4 PADA PROSES PENGISIAN DAN PENGOSONGAN KAPASITOR

Along with the rapid development of technology and the progress of the times, a modern application with high precision and accuracy is needed and a short processing time. The same goes for physics problems. In numerical calculation, it is necessary to have calculations with good accuracy and precision. Computation an modeling using the runge-kutta method and the euler method in this research article will be used to calculate the process of charging and discharging an RC circuit capacitor which is an exponential function of time. The purpose of this study is to obtain an approximation solution to the RC electrical circuit. Based on the results of the study with values of E=12V, R=800000 ohm, C=500000 farads, and h=0,1, it was found that: (1) the data generated by charging the capacitor experienced a significant increase in voltage with increasing time for 0-100 iteration, with a time of 0-10 seconds, the runge-kutta method 0-4,76E-11V and the euler method 0-4,79E-11V. (2) it can be seen that the data generated on the discharge of the capacitor is opposite of the capacitor charging process, namely the voltage will decrease over time, the euler method 4,79E-11-7,55E-14V and the runge-kutta method 4,79E-11- 4,14E-13 V when the graph of charging capacitor with the runge-kutta method with the euler method is not so see a big difference as well as the discharge of the capacitor by the runge-kutta method by the euler method.
